Friends

God is Good, and I really believe it! I just finished a really great conversation w/ Jeremy. It was SO HUGE to talk to him again. It totally energized me and gave me hope for living.

Not nice!

Today I had to deal with a lady with a really nasty attitude, and I am still recovering from that. I don't know why it affected me so much, but being around her for several hours was a major energy drain. I wander if she  knows she has that power over people. I pity those poor folks who work with  her every day.

Altruism is Dead! Chivalry is Dead!

My coworker Jeff was proclaiming this loudly as he tried to convince our junior technician Adam that no one really cares about anyone else anymore. I disagreed strongly, but Jeff maintained his stalwart cynicism. An hour later as I was eyeing a new razor in Walmart, the new Mach 3 Power Nitro, I spotted a coupon stuck in the display. I took a look at it, and discovered that it applied to the very razor I was looking, and would save me an entire $9.83! I was elated! I looked at the coupon again. No, it was not expired, and I turned it over and saw that it had been cut from a magazine. I could not believe someone would have actually gone to the trouble of cutting out the coupon and placing it there for some unknown person to find. I reached in my pocket for my cell phone and dialed Jeff. "Jeff," I said, "Altruism is NOT dead!" After I had related the story, he had to concede a bit, but finished with “It may not be dead, but it's on life support.”

I'm greatly enjoying my lunch break, sitting in the middle of downtown staunton in a coffee shop, enjoying a great big mug of Tanzanian Peaberry brew, reading Dave Barry with my laptop and the wireless broadband.  Life couldn't be better!

Hey-- try this--  the Nerd Test!!  I must be more nerdy than I thought ;|, scored a 75 out of 100.  Try it and post your score.

Wow, looks like the html they provided me with was missing a few characters-that's why it didn't display correctly in the last post.  I was nerdy enough to fix it. :)
I am nerdier than 75% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!
